This article explains how to create a dedicated Webfleet user with WEBFLEET.connect access and what information you need to share with us so we can complete the integration.
Overview
To connect your Bridgestone Webfleet account to our platform, your Webfleet administrator must create a specific user with the correct access rights. We will then use this user to connect via WEBFLEET.connect and retrieve the live vehicle data required for tracking and reporting.

For our system to identify the vehicle to track, the registration number of the vehicle will need to ether be in the name or number section.
You can edit these fields by going to https://live-wf.webfleet.com/web/vehicles selecting one vehicle in the bottom left of the screen selecting details, then edit.
Step 1: Create a new Webfleet user
Please ask your Webfleet administrator to follow the steps below.
-
Open the Users section
Log in to your Webfleet account.
Select the Users icon from the main menu.

Create a new user
Click New user in the lower right corner.
The New user screen will open.

Enter user details
In the User data section, complete at least the mandatory fields:- Name: e.g. “FTS”
- Username: this will be the Webfleet username we will use to connect
- Email: a suitable contact email address (fts.integrations@firsttravelsolutions.com)
Note: Name, Username and Email are required fields.

-
In the Active time period section, select:

-
-
Assign a user profile
In the Profile section, select a suitable profile such as Standard as a starting point.
This profile will define default access rights, which you can refine in the next steps.
Step 2: Enable WEBFLEET.connect and permissions
-
Enable WEBFLEET.connect
In the Interfaces section, select WEBFLEET.connect.
This grants API access for the integration.
-
Set system access rights
-
In the System rights section, configure access rights for:
Reports
For Reports, an additional option such as Download reports only may be available.
Choose the level of access that aligns with your internal policies while allowing the integration to read the data it needs.
-
-
Save the new user
Click Save to create the new user with the selected rights.
Step 3: Share the credentials with us
Once the Webfleet user has been created, please send the following details to our support team via a secure channel:

Webfleet Password for the integration user
We will use these details to configure and test the integration.
Important: Please do not send these credentials in unsecured or public channels. If you are unsure about the best way to share them securely, contact our support team for guidance.
